Ticktock: ATPE membership deadlines are fast approaching!

ATPE membership is an excellent value—just 66 cents a day for a professional membership—but if you haven’t joined or renewed yet for the 2025-26 membership year, act fast! A big membership deadline is just around the corner.

Educators who were eligible to join ATPE or renew their membership in August or September 2025 but who want until after Sept. 30 to do so will experience a 30-day waiting period before they are eligible for employment rights protection benefits.* That means you won’t be able to speak with an ATPE-provided attorney regarding any otherwise-covered job-related matters that might arise during this time.

With everything on an educator’s plate, don’t give yourself one more thing to worry about. Join or renew before Sept. 30 and become eligible for ATPE employment rights protection benefits* as soon as the ATPE state office receives your application or your application is signed, dated, and received by a designated ATPE representative.

(And if you’re a renewing member who rejoins by Sept. 30, your date of eligibility will be Aug. 1, 2025!)

Last day to receive the first-time professional member discount: Oct. 31

Oct. 31 is another big ATPE membership deadline. That’s the last day you can join ATPE using the incredible first-time professional discount, which brings the cost of membership down for first-time members to just $110 for the entire year! Don’t miss this opportunity!

Oct. 31 is also the last day to earn $10 per new member recruited through ATPE’s Recruit & Reward incentive program.

Final day to join ATPE as a 2025-26 insured category member: Jan. 31

The last day ATPE will accept applications for 2025-26 insured category memberships* is Jan. 31, 2026. When you return to campus after the winter holidays, make a note to reach out to second-semester colleagues about the importance of joining ATPE.
