The 2026 ATPE Educator of the Year, Campus Representative of the Year, and Local Unit of the Year awards recognize outstanding Texas educators and association volunteers.
This Teacher Appreciation Week, we are excited to recognize an incredible group of Texas educators—the 2026 recipients of the ATPE Educator of the Year, Campus Representative of the Year, and Local Unit of the Year awards. These outstanding educators and volunteers will be recognized at the 2026 ATPE Summit, July 14–16 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.
Charles Pickitt Educator of the Year Award
- Administrator: James Adams, Nacogdoches ISD
- Associate: John Milner, Bandera ISD
- Elementary: Dustin Perez, New Caney ISD
- Secondary: Roya Dinbali, Nacogdoches ISD
- Special Services: Joy Barreras, Liberty Hill ISD
Doug Rogers Campus Representative of the Year Award
- Local units/ISDs with 1–200 members: Criselda Garza, Webb County ISD
- Local units/ISDs with 201–500 members: Marie Bowman, San Antonio ISD
- Local units/ISDs with 501–1,000 members: Hilda Martinez, La Joya ISD
- Local units/ISDs with 1,001+ members: Dr. Michelle Jeffrey, Katy ISD
Floyd Trimble Local Unit of the Year Award
- Local units with 1–200 members: Liberty Hill ATPE
- Local units with 201–500 members: Valley View (1) ATPE
- Local units with 501–1,000 members: Lewisville ATPE
- Local units with 1,001+ members: Mesquite ATPE
- University: Texas Southern University
