Brenham

Dylan Klovenski, an Ag Explorations teacher at Brenham Junior High School, was named Brenham ISD’s Middle School Teacher of the Year.

Comal

The following ATPE members were named 2024-25 Campus Teachers of the Year for their respective campuses:

Conroe

Suzanne Rogers, an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at York Junior High, was named Conroe ISD’s Secondary Teacher of the Year..

The following ATPE members were named Campus Teacher of the Year for their respective campuses:

  • Angela Pavlock, Oak Ridge High School 9th Grade Campus

Seven ATPE members were selected as Rising Stars for their respective campuses:

  • Courtney Robertson, Ride Elementary
  • McKailah Ellisor Richards, Stewart Elementary

Two ATPE members received the Humanitarian Award for their respective campuses:

  • Jessica Lane, Bush Elementary
  • Porshia Anderson, Bozman Intermediate
Cori Bloch, a first grade teacher at Goliad Elementary School

Goliad

Cori Bloch, a first grade teacher at Goliad Elementary School, was named the school’s Teacher of the Year.

Humble

The Humble ISD Education Foundation’s Prize Posse rolled through Humble ISD in May with over $300,000 in surprise grants that funded 61 innovative classroom projects. Among the grant recipients were ATPE members Tesslyn Mustain, the media specialist and librarian for Timberwood Middle School, and dyslexia specialists Stephanie Baker and Erika Mitcham from Eagle Springs Elementary. Baker’s and Mitcham’s grant was funded by former Texas House Public Education Committee Chairman Dan Huberty and his wife Janet.

Magnolia

The following ATPE members were honored at Magnolia ISD’s annual Employees of the Year Banquet:

  • Natasha Jordan, Nichols Sawmill Elementary: Campus Paraprofessional of the Year
  • Angela Lagunas, Nichols Sawmill Elementary: Magnolia ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year
  • Hannah LeCroy, Audubon Elementary: Campus Rookie of the Year
  • Laura Sudderth, Bear Branch Intermediate: Campus Teacher of the Year
  • Jamie Weaver, Bear Branch Elementary: Elementary Rookie of the Year
Shannon Esparza, an English teacher at Woodridge Forest Middle School

New Caney

Shannon Esparza, an English teacher at Woodridge Forest Middle School, was named the Campus Teacher of the Year.

Vicki Rowe, an Advanced Placement English teacher at Taylor High School

Taylor

Vicki Rowe, an Advanced Placement English teacher at Taylor High School, received the H-E-B Excellence in Education Lifetime Achievement Award in the Secondary category. She received $25,000 in cash and a $25,000 grant for her school.
