Help Your Colleagues—and ATPE—Spring Forward

ATPE’s 2025-26 Join Early Campaign is in full swing, and you can not only help your colleagues out by encouraging them to join ATPE but also earn some extra cash for yourself.

ATPE launched its 2025-26 membership campaign April 1, and we’re excited by the hundreds of Texas educators who have chosen to join the association early for the 2025-26 membership year. We’re even more thrilled by the current members (maybe you’re one of them!) who have taken a few minutes to ask a nonmember colleague to go ahead and join ATPE for the 2025-26 school year.

Recruit & Reward—Yourself!

If you need a little inspiration to spread the word, consider this: Through ATPE’s newly enhanced Recruit & Reward recruitment incentive program, you will not only earn $10 for every new member you recruit between April 1 and Oct. 31, 2025, but also you’ll be entered into drawings for additional cash prizes!

Here are the details:

  • Make sure the new member joins in the professional, first-time professional, associate, or administrator categories. A “new member” is anyone who wasn’t a member of ATPE last year—or who was a college student or student teacher member last year. No entry form is needed: The new member simply needs to enter your full name in the “recruited by” box on their membership application.
  • You will receive your choice of a $10 Amazon.com gift card OR $10 paid to you via direct deposit for each recruited member who is an active member in ATPE’s database on Feb. 1, 2026.
  • Incentive funds and digital gift cards will be issued in March 2026.
  • The top recruiter will receive $10 for each new member recruited, plus an additional $1,000—and be recognized at the 2026 ATPE Summit! Plus, everyone who recruits at least one new member will be entered into a drawing for an additional cash prize!
  • Recruit one to 10 new members, and you’ll be entered in a $100 drawing!
  • Recruit 11 to 15 new members, and you’ll be entered in a $200 drawing!
  • Recruit 16 to 20 new members, and you’ll be entered in a $300 drawing!
  • Recruit 21-plus new members, and you’ll be entered in a $500 drawing!

Understanding “Join Now/Pay Later” and “13 for 12”

When you spread the word about ATPE between now and July 31, you’ll want to keep two special promotions in mind:

  • Join Now/Pay Later: Educators who join ATPE between now and July 31 are considered “Join Early” members. They can access select benefits, such as our 25-plus member discounts, the ATPE Professional Learning Portal, and the ATPE Online Community now, but they do not begin paying dues until August.
  • 13 for 12: What’s more: Professional liability and employment rights protection coverage* for Early Join members will begin on July 1, or if they join July 2–31, the date their application is signed, dated, and received by an ATPE representative. That means they’ll be covered when they report for 2025-26 duties. (Renewing ATPE members will still be covered under the 2024-25 Educators Professional Liability Insurance Policy.)
