CTE Teachers Needed for Doctoral Research

Periodically ATPE publicizes opportunities to provide feedback to state agencies or other entities or to participate in dissertation research being conducted by doctoral candidates in the field of education. ATPE Immediate Past State President Jerrica Holt is pursuing her doctoral degree, and she is currently recruiting career and technical education (CTE) teachers to participate in her research. She is conducting a qualitative descriptive study to explore how CTE teachers in Texas describe their experiences developing industry partnerships to promote student career and academic readiness.

Research participants must:

• Have at least two years of CTE teaching experience.
• Have experience building or maintaining partnerships with industry professionals.
• Be currently employed by a Texas school district.
• Be willing to answer required demographic questions related to age, gender, race, region, and professional experience.
