12/29/25 Update
The dates for the 2026 ATPE Summit have been moved to July 14–16, 2026. In conjunction with this change, the deadline for submitting session proposals has been extended to Jan. 19, 2026.
If you have previously submitted a session proposal, ATPE will contact you after Jan. 5 to confirm your availability July 14 and 16.
We are excited to announce the 2026 ATPE Summit Call for Proposals is now open! The 2026 ATPE Summit will take place July 14–16, 2026, at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, and the Summit Programming Committee is seeking a variety of learning experiences for attendees, including those that are interactive, encourage meaningful participation, and go beyond traditional lecture formats. The proposal submission deadline has been extended to Jan. 19, 2026.
What kind of session proposals should be submitted?
The committee is looking for proposals for one-hour continuing professional education (CPE) sessions (inclusive of any Q&A time). Sessions may be geared toward any member of the public education community, with a particular focus on classroom teachers of all grade levels and paraprofessionals. You may submit a proposal on any topic of interest to you, but the Summit Programming Committee—made up of nine members from across the state—is particularly interested in sessions covering the following topics:
- Well-being and balance
- Meeting needs of neurodiverse educators
- Professional growth and reflective practices
- Innovation, creativity, and modern tools for educators
- Restoring joy and purpose
- Professional autonomy
- Maximizing income/financial literacy
Each proposal is evaluated by the ATPE Summit Programming Committee using a detailed rubric. Please review the rubric prior to submitting your proposal. Selected presenters will be notified by mid-February. ATPE will waive the summit registration fee ($225) for selected presenters; however, the speaker assumes all other financial costs, including hotel, meals, and travel expenses. Speakers must be available to present Tuesday, July 14, or Thursday, July 16, at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.
If you have any questions, please contact summit@atpe.org.
