ATPE members took care of vital association business—and rustled up some fun—during the 2024 ATPE Summit, July 8–10 at the Sheraton Dallas. Volunteer leaders expanded their skills during leader training and got a first look at the enhanced ATPE Professional Learning Portal. Attendees also enjoyed inspiring professional learning sessions, including keynotes presented by leadership expert Alyson Van Hooser and Ron Clark Academy co-founder Kim Bearden. ATPE recognized the recipients of the 2024 ATPE Awards, including Educator of the Year, Local Unit of the Year, and Campus Representative of the Year winners; ATPE Political Action Committee (ATPE-PAC) honorees; and the recipient of the Alafair Hammett Media Award. Following an informative legislative update from the ATPE lobby team, the 2024 ATPE House of Delegates elected the 2024-25 ATPE state officers, adopted resolutions, and approved a new, reorganized ATPE Legislative Program, allowing the 2023-24 ATPE Legislative program to expire in its entirety.
