Apply to Serve on the ATPE Public Information and Summit Programming Committees

ATPE’s standing and special committees play a critical role in ATPE’s member-governed structure. The members serving on these committees share important feedback on key ATPE initiatives, as well as set the stage for the annual House of Delegates meeting. If you’ve ever thought you’d like to be more involved in your professional association, this is your opportunity!

If you applied for state committee service during the first application wave but were not selected, please apply again!

Apply by Oct. 27 to be considered for service on the following committees:

• Public Information: Reviews ATPE’s publications, website and online presence, and media coverage. The committee also reviews the finalists for the Alafair Hammett Media Award and select a winner. The Public Information Committee will meet virtually in January and April 2027.
• Summit Programming: Advises the ATPE staff on keynote and professional learning programming for ATPE’s annual conference. Committee members also evaluate professional learning breakout session proposals. The Summit Programming Committee will meet virtually in January 2027 and also evaluate proposals virtually on their own time.

If these committees don’t pique your interest, an additional round of applications will open later in the membership year:

• December: Educator of the Year Awards, Leader of the Year Awards, and Resolutions committees
