Apply for the next Leadership ATPE class!

ATPE is now accepting Leadership ATPE applications through May 31.
The 2023-24 Leadership ATPE Cohort

Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey within ATPE and in your career? If so, we invite you to apply for Leadership ATPE.

Leadership ATPE is a dynamic one-year educational program that offers valuable professional development, leadership training, and networking opportunities for emerging leaders. Previous ATPE volunteer experience is not required to apply for Leadership ATPE. Members who are just starting their careers in education are also eligible and strongly encouraged to apply.

Participants will attend two expense-paid weekend learning retreats, network with their colleagues throughout the year, and be recognized during the ATPE Summit.

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the next class:

  • Applicants must have been an ATPE member for at least two years, including the current 2024-25 membership year.
  • The following members are ineligible to apply: current or past members of the ATPE Board of Directors, current or past state officers, retiree members, public education supporter members, college student members, and clinical teacher members of ATPE.
  • Applicants selected for the Leadership ATPE class must commit to attending both of the two mandatory training retreats Oct. 24–26, 2025, and March 27–29, 2026, in Austin.
  • Applicants must pay a $20 application fee. All other program expenses, including study materials and travel costs for the fall and spring retreats, will be covered by ATPE.
  • At the time of the application, all applicants must certify that they have read all requirements of the program and will commit to attending both weekend training retreats and participating in all assignments during the program year.

Leadership ATPE Applications will be accepted through May 31. Visit atpe.org/leadership-atpe for more details and to complete the application. If you have any questions about the program, please contact ATPE Membership Director Joy England at jengland@atpe.org.
