Apply for an ATPE Summit Scholarship by March 7!

If you want to attend the 2025 ATPE Summit but the cost is a prohibiting factor, we have good news: ATPE is offering individual attendee scholarships! Scholarship recipients will have their registration fees waived for the 2025 ATPE Summit. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to seven hours of continuing professional education (CPE) credit, and the complimentary registration includes access to the following summit events:
- General sessions with keynote speakers
- ATPE House of Delegates (HOD) (Note: You must be certified by your local unit or region to serve as a voting delegate, but your registration includes the opportunity to attend the HOD and earn continuing professional education [CPE] credit for doing so.)
- ATPE Legislative Update
- Volunteer training sessions
- Professional learning breakouts
- Admission to the “Beats and Boutiques” evening social
Scholarship applications are due March 7. Here are a few things to know before you apply:
- Only current ATPE members will be considered for the scholarship. Any associate, administrator, first-time professional, or professional may apply.
- Scholarship recipients are responsible for securing funding for the rest of their summit travel expenses, whether through personal means or through local unit/region financial assistance.
- In determining local unit eligibility for state-level summit financial assistance, ATPE will factor in whether local unit attendees are scholarship recipients.
- Scholarship recipients will be asked to participate in ATPE promotional communications.

Shannon Abernathy, a 2024 ATPE Summit scholarship recipient, has attended the summit several times and says it remains one of her favorite ATPE events of the year: “The highlight for me is the networking—I truly enjoy connecting with teachers from different districts and gaining new perspectives on how to encourage greater involvement in ATPE.”
Abernathy also looks forward to attending this year’s summit. She adds: “The summit is such an energizing experience, and I look forward to the opportunity to stay informed about the rights of educators.”
ATPE Summit registration is now open, and scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-April. If you have questions, please email summit@atpe.org.
