Important Information About Your 2025-26 ATPE Membership
ATPE State President Jason Forbis shares that, beginning August 1, 2025, some membership categories will see a small dues increase.
ATPE is opening membership for the 2025-26 membership year on April 1, which means nonmembers will be able to begin submitting applications for the next school year. If you are currently an ATPE member, you have no action to take at this time, but we do want to share an important update about your 2025-26 membership.
The ATPE Board of Directors—comprising five elected state officers and 20 elected region directors, all educator members—is responsible for setting ATPE’s annual membership dues rates. In February, the Board made the difficult decision to implement a small dues increase in some categories effective Aug. 1, 2025. ATPE’s last dues increase was in 2023, and the increase before that was in 2016. As you’ll see below, rather than implementing an across-the-board percentage increase, the Board has opted to implement targeted increases mindful of salary levels.

ATPE will continue to offer the $110 first-time professional member discount through Oct. 31, 2025, as well as free memberships for college students and clinical teachers.
We recognize that any price increase is challenging in the current climate. The Board examined the situation thoroughly, as well as reviewed the many cost-cutting measures ATPE has taken along with our efforts to maintain a premier level of member benefits, including the Educators Professional Liability Insurance Policy.* Our mission is to advocate for educators and deliver affordable, high-quality products and services that give members the peace of mind needed to inspire student success, and the Board’s action to implement a small dues increase now will position us to continue delivering on that mission.
Thank you for your ATPE membership, and I look forward to continuing our membership together in 2025-26.
Sincerely, Jason Forbis ATPE State President
